Laurent is a young travel blogger who, paradoxically, writes about big and small cities around the world even though he has never left Carcassonne. Laurent has been left by his fiancée Martine and, despite the encouragement of his loyal friend Nicolas to look for a new girl, he can’t help thinking that he has now missed the train of happiness.
One evening, on his way back from a blind date, he checks his mailbox and he finds a registered letter. He goes to the Post Office and he is surprised to read that it is a letter written by the Notary Morel informing him of the death of his aunt who has bequeathed him a house in Montmartre. Without giving it much thought Laurent and his faithful friend, the dog Sherlock, move to Paris. Here he makes the acquaintance of Madame Colin - an elderly and apparently despotic lady - as well as the girl next door, Sophie, an attractive girl who is already romantically involved and with whom he despite himself happens to sleep. During a visit to the Louvre he meets Isabelle, a receptionist at the Museum, and he is struck by her. As fate would have it, over the next few days Laurent and Isabelle meet again at the Jardin Des Tuileries and during the walk they get to know each other better and better. Laurent feels that magic is brewing between him and Isabelle, but a series of unforeseen events, secrets revealed and mutual betrayals will repeatedly upset his plans. Loves and friendships, passions and betrayals, a race against time, all against the backdrop of the characteristic hill of Montmartre will lead the protagonists and the reader to answer the question: Do you believe in love?.
